Russia doesn't have the engineering and technical means to drill their own oil, do they?

FUnny thing is, the vast renewable energy potential of Russia and renewable energy itself is completely against Putin and the Kremlin's financial interests. And if they did produce trillions of watts to replace the end of the oil industry who would they sell it to? Countries are already coming online with plenty to renewable energy to sustain themselves and the Chinese with their tech and manufacturing power will be more than capable of producing their own renewable energy technology and therefore China's own power.

Also, interesting that electricity was a founding principle of Russian socialism, in the early days especially. Communism=Soviet Power + Electricity, which might have worked if Stalin hadn't purged the engineers and then trained the next generation of engineers without a truly scientific education which would have led them to critical thinking and maybe even independent thought and creativity, so they never could quite figure out how to harness Russia's true potential power.

Virtually free electricity is killing the Kremlin oil despots.

Anyways, late night rambling...

Whut?

The sun's a pretty stable and reliable body and quite predictable as to when we can take advantage of it from day to day.  I have some panels that will produce electricity even in partial shade or cloudy conditions.

And Wind is also a form of solar energy.  Generally (in my neck-o-the-woods) if the sun isn't shining, the wind is blowing.
Political Correctness is a doctrine fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end!!

There is indeed such thing as a free lunch called the giant nuclear reactor in the sky and we laugh at our ancestors for worshiping it.
