Help calculating 90/180
« on: 22:36 13-Aug-2017 »
Silly me, I just want to make sure I got it right.

Enter 6/6/2016 (d/m/y)
Exit 6/8/2016
180 days over on 3/12/2016

Enter 10/12/2016
Exit 28/12/2016
Total 18 days

Enter 26/03/2017
Exit 5/6/2017
Total 71 days

180 days over on 8/6/2017 stayed 89 days

Does this mean another 180 start on 9/6/2017 and I am allowed to enter for another 90 days? Or do I count backwards from the date of next planned entry 10/11/17 and calculate 90 out of 180(15/5/17) making it 90-15=75?

P.S. didn't know if I needed to post in "sticky" part of the forum on existing post

I don't know the calculations, but I am pretty sure there was at least one very excellent thread explaining the calculation and how it works, per your question in considerable detail.  so, you might try the forum search.

Since I'm bored and haven't read any of Sos's threads yet.............

Count backwards from today 180 days.
-Include arrival & departure days.
-If the total days in country is less than 90 you're good to go.
-If its over or near 90 you need to go.

You mean they go back 180 days from the current date, include arrival & departure days and add up how many days in country too?

There may be hope for Europe yet.

Posts keep confusing !!

It is simple ---it is in the LAST 180 days . So it is a rolling target day by day.
Nothing to do with the future  --it is in the PREVIOUS period of 180 days

EG--if attempting to calculate the next stay -- count back the days   within the 180 date from planned leaving date .

This might help simplify the counting and you won't have to take your socks off.

Today is day 241 (Aug 29)  241 - 180 = 61 (Mar 2)
Now add up the days in country from day 61
Include arrival & departure days.  (2)

2+ XX = ??
That's how many days the border troops will come up with.
